About the Vericant Interview

The Vericant Interview consists of a proctored writing sample, a face-to-face video interview. The high school interview also includes an SEE score. It provides U.S. and Canadian schools with a more true and direct method for quickly assessing applicants’ English communication skills and personality. For applicants, the Vericant Interview is a fast, comprehensive, and intuitive way for them to show admissions officers who they truly are.
Writing Sample

Vericant’s writing test is designed to showcase an applicant’s academic writing ability. Each applicant has 30 minutes to complete the essay. Applicants will get to choose one of two (Undergraduate and Graduate level applicants) or three (High School level applicants) randomly assigned essay question prompts to answer.

Writing tests are handwritten and our testing facilities may not have clocks. The proctor responsible for overseeing the writing test will notify the applicant when five minutes remain in the writing session. Applicants must bring their own watch if they wish to monitor their time. Applicants will not be allowed to bring any electronics into the writing sample with them.

Applicants may write an outline or draft on the back of the writing sample page; however only writing on the lined side of Vericant’s writing sample will be shared with institutions.
